Here is where I was about one month ago. Recently separated after 30 years of marraige, and at the age of 51, just accepted my 40 pound weight gain as a part of life.
In this past one month period with Bonza, I have lost about 13 pounds, gained some muscle, and a whole new frame of mind about diet and exercise.
I was amazed when I walked into the Bonza Bodies Studio, there are no silvery clunky weight machines, but equipment that challenges your balance, aerobics, muscles, mind, inner soul, posture, coordination, determination. If feels like all parts of fitness are being addressed.

In the past I’ve been that person that works out a lot, not always getting the results I hope for.
A dear friend recommended Bonza Bodies and I gave it a try. My issue was simple, after many business dinners, much business travel and long hours in the office, I had gained a belly, lost a lot of muscle and was feeling overweight and just bad about myself.
I talked to Jamie Atlas, tried the classes and decided to go for it.
After a month doing about 4 classes a week and following the nutritional program I feel better physically and feel better about myself, and I feel stronger.
I lost about 16 pounds in 6 weeks, got some other weight moved back where it should be (welcome back shoulders and biceps!) and most importantly,my body fat went from 13.8% to 8.6%. This is phenomenal. And to top it all off, I lost the gut.

To all you Brides out there, If you are looking to get in shape and feel amazing for your upcoming nuptials, then Bonza Bodies is the place for you! I started with Bonza in January 2011, approximately 4 months before my wedding. I was active and in pretty good shape before joining; with a fairly rigorous weekly routine of yoga, pilates and cardio. However, on my first day at Bonza I quickly learned that it’s not “how much” you do, its “what” you do to work out: I wasn’t working the “right” muscles to get into optimal shape.
As a kid, I swam competitively, and as a result developed an upper body that was muscular but always bigger than I wanted it to be (it has always been my “problem area”). While yoga sculpt and pilates kept me toned, those movements toned my shoulders and neck area, causing me to look much bigger through my upper body than I actually was. Since my wedding dress was strapless, Jamie and I worked hard to work my mid back muscles in lieu of the shoulders, allowing those larger muscles to drop down and create a nice lean silhouette. And what a difference it made!
In addition to working out 4 times a week at Bonza, I also went full force on the “Bonza Diet”—as a result, I lost 12 pounds and 5% body fat! I felt amazing and achieved the look I always pictured of having in my wedding dress. Even better, my friends and family even noticed the difference, and gave me the best compliment of “you are not just a thinner version or yourself, but a much better and healthier version of yourself”- which is exactly how I wanted to look and feel when I walked down the aisle!
