Personal Training: Frequently Asked Questions

What makes your 1-1 personal training different than other methods?

  • It’s important to know that the #1 reason people choose our personal trainers over others is because we care about the results you get.
  • We focus on training the person as a whole, with consideration for:
  • Your goals
  • Workout history
  • Joint issues/pain
  • Knowing when to push and when to correct.

Part of our employment process is to focus on developing personal trainers that treat people with care, compassion and empathy.  We also believe that certification is merely the starting point for understanding the body and how it works – which is why we undergo monthly training and updates to our knowledge. In short, we care, we constantly update our knowledge and we take pride in having the best personal trainers in Denver.

Do I really need a personal trainer?

It’s a fair question.  To be the best personal trainer you must serve five main purposes.

  • Accountability
  • Correction/teaching of technique
  • Giving the right exercise to work the right parts for the right results
  • Helping you feel comfortable so you can give your very best every workout
  • A partner in your progress

If you’ve ever wanted to make sure you got the most out of your workouts or have been ‘treading water’ with your same old routine, exercising with one of our personal trainers, whether it be short term or long term can be the very best way possible to kickstart your results.

The correct technique means you’ll always know the right way to do certain exercises (while doing them the wrong way can be a surefire guarantee for joint injury).

The right exercise for the right goal means you’re working towards the results YOU want, not other results (ever wondered why you do the same exercises bodybuilders do?

Ever wonder if different exercises might stop you getting bulky muscles)?  If you’re looking for a new level of fitness and pride in the way your body looks, moves and feels, a personal trainer may be just what you need.  After all, nothing changes until something changes.

Will my trainer also help with nutrition?

Our trainers are experts in understanding the body.  They’re also very well versed in telling you what NOT to eat (just because you love cheese does not mean you can’t live without it.  Nobody ever died of cheese deprivation).

This is why you’ll have our own in-house nutritionist approved food plan to make sure that you are on the fastest track.  At Bonza, it’s important to us that you know you have a team of experts supporting you – not just the one person!

How do you really know what I need vs what happens with other personal training?”

Before we can know which personal trainer is right for you, we need to know what kind of workout, flexibility program and attention to nutrition you need. We also need to do a full body and lifestyle assessment and spend time getting to know you.

I’d sure like to take a shower after my workout. Do you cover that?

We do! We have bathrooms, lockers, showers, water fountains and are currently working on installing a partridge in a pear tree! Just kidding about the partridge. We have all that other stuff though.

I’d like to try a free workout. Is this possible?

We’ve all been to those fitness centers where you’re pressured to join up right away. At Bonza personal training, we’ll offer you an orientation and free session with our head trainer, Jamie Atlas (9News fitness expert and 4x winner of best personal trainer according to 5280 magazine) who will talk with you about your best options and choices for your personal training plan.

Once you’ve done that, you can decide if what we’ve got to offer is right for you!  And there’s no pressure.  That’s not our style.  To ask for a free trial just call us on 720-257-9328 or email info@bonzabodies.com

Where are you located?

For personal training you’ll find us on the basement level of 1800 Glenarm Place (just across from the beautiful church on 18th and Broadway). Our trainers generally hold their workotus as early as 5am and as late as 730pm, depending on the day.
